About Us

Movement is Medicine

At RFC movement is medicine. We utilize cutting-edge neuroscience and bio mechanics to expedite rehab, eliminate pain, help reduce injury and boost performance. RFC is a community that exercises intelligently to improve vitality, posture, organ function, and slow down the aging process.

Our Founder and Master Trainer, Rocky Snyder, is a nationally recognized and award winning speaker and author. Rocky hand selects our team of trainers and together they possess dozens of certifications and decades of experience giving our clients access to this life-changing secret weapon.

RFC, established in 1996, is located off Highway 1 near Capitola Mall on the Monterey Bay. The 1800-square-foot facility features a training studio with cardio equipment, two state-of-the-art stretch cages, and four individualized pods each equipped with a squat cage, free weights, a shared functional trainer, box, bench, and bands. Opposite the pods is our wall of tools, housing small equipment such as balls, foam rollers, pads, battle ropes, yoga blocks, and massage tools. We offer ample parking and a welcoming, well-lit workout environment.

Erin Dunn

Read Erin’s Bio
Erin’s fitness journey started with US ARMY boot camp where she discovered muscles she didn’t think she had and a nearly unquenchable desire to keep them moving. Over the past 20 years, she’s enjoyed putting her fitness to the test by competing in ultra-endurance sports (cycling, running, triathlon) while also nourishing her mind and body with yoga, pilates, and dance. An Army-trained nurse and health education professional, Erin shares our belief that movement is medicine. Like many of our clients, she too has experienced the debilitating effects that injuries, illness and physical limitations place on quality of life. Erin’s compassion for others and strong belief in the healing powers of movement inspired her to become a personal trainer. She is fascinated with the art and science of body mechanics and loves a good challenge and getting creative with her training programs. On her off-time you can find her painting, relaxing at the library or around town putting her dance skills into practice.

How is RFC handling COVID -19?

RFC does not currently require proof of vaccination to workout. Instead, we are relying on you to be mindful and conscientious regarding COVID-19. (Of course, all of us at RFC are fully vaccinated!)

Please follow local, state and federal guidance regarding masking and exclusion from public spaces. Depending on your vaccination status, different rules will apply if you test positive or are exposed to COVID-19.

Please carefully review our internal protocols, guidance from Santa Cruz County, and guidance from the California Department of Public Health. Because our protocols and applicable guidance may frequently change, if you have questions, please feel free to contact Dana @831-854-2130 or speak to your trainer.

If YOU test positive for COVID-19 or believe you may have been exposed, please…

Do not come to the studio, even if you don’t have symptoms (whether or not you are vaccinated).
You may always workout online using the Zoom links provided.

What should I bring?
We have all the equipment you’ll need at the studio, so just bring a water bottle and a positive attitude.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your session or class start time.
What if I like to exercise by myself?
